The diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Canada are 61 years old  in 2013. During the third Indonesia-Canada Bilateral Consultative Forum  in Ottawa, 23 Agustus 2013, co-chaired by the Foreign

Minister of Canada and Foreign Minister of the Republic of Indonesia, both Ministers agreed to issue a Joint Statement to deepen bilateral engagement by focusing on increasing prosperity through trade, investment and economic cooperation, through political and security cooperation, and through collaboration on social, education, cultural and people to people contact.

In order to encourage this cooperation and  to increase the understanding and knowledge on Indonesian potential in Canada, a country with  10 Provinces and 3 Territories,  continuous close coordination is needed. Those efforts are to maximise the diplomacy through  meetings with various share holders in each province including the working visit of the Indonesian Ambassador to Fredericton, the capital of the  Province of New Brunswick on 3-4 December 2013.
