BANK INDONESIA EXPECTS THE ACQUISITION PROCESS OF PT. BII BY PT. BANK MANDIRI IS COMPLETED ACCORDING TO THE PREVAILING REGULATIONS

Bank Indonesia welcomes the acquisition plan of PT. Bank Internasional Indonesia (BII) by PT. Bank Mandiri. Senior Deputy Governor Anwar Nasution stated this on a meeting with officials from Ministry of Finance, Chairman of IBRA, Chairman of Stock Exchange Supervisory Board, Managing Director of Jakarta Stock Exchange and Managing Director of Bank Mandiri today in Jakarta. However, Anwar also stressed “Bank Indonesia, as the banking regulatory and supervisory authority, will support the acquisition process and expects that it is completed according to the prevailing regulations.” In this meeting, Anwar also mentioned that he expected the acquisition process would bring positive development to PT.
