Indonesia recorded trade surplus in July

JAKARTA, Sept 1 (Reuters) -
Indonesia recorded a trade surplus of US$2.71 billion in July, compared
with US$2.41 billion in the same month last year, the statistics bureau
said on Monday.
The following are Indonesia's official trade figures: (in billions of US dollars)
July 03 July 02 June 03 Indonesia reported Monday a rise of almost 10 percent in exports for the first seven months of this year. However, the trade surplus declined to 2.71 billion dollars in July from 2.85 billion in the previous month due to a pick-up in imports and a contraction in exports, the Central Bureau of Statistics said. The bureau said total exports in July reached 5.25 billion dollars compared to 5.28 billion in June, while imports rose to 2.53 billion from 2.42 billion. Non-oil and gas exports
increased to 4.25 billion dollars from 4.22 billion, while non-oil and gas
imports increased to 1.96 billion from 1.91 billion. |
