  • Inflation rate dropped to -0.93% in August 1999.

  • Exports increased by 11.56% in July 1999 compared to June 1999 to S$3,971.6 million.

  • Imports increased by 3.63% in July 1999 compared to June 1999 to US$1,964.5 million.

  • The weighted average interest rate of one-month Sertifikat Bank Indonesia (SBI) increased to 13% in September 29, 1999 from 12.97% a week earlier.
