INDONESIA PREPARES 850 FRESH TROOPS FOR LEBANON PEACEKEEPING MISSION
Xinhua - November 8, 2007JAKARTA, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia will send a contingent of approximately 850 troops to Lebanon for a U.N.-sanctioned peacekeeping mission to replace the earlier group whose term expired later this month, the military headquarters said Thursday.
The Garuda XXIII-B will be deployed in three phases on Nov. 12,28 and 30, the military said in a statement, to replace the Garuda XXIII-A that also includes First Lieutenant Agus Yudhoyono, the son of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono
Training and preparations for the mission were concluded earlier Tuesday, it said.
